Same credentials you use for Outlook and Teams โ no new password needed.

Your name appears in the top right. You stay signed in until you click Sign out.
If the popup is blocked by your browser, look for a popup blocker icon in the address bar and click "Allow popups from this site."
Your daily workflow
Start each day on the Board โ it shows everything that needs attention across all projects.

Open the Board
Click "Board" in the header. Filter by your name to see only your tasks.

Check the Blocked and Ext. Blocked columns
These need attention first. If something is blocked, add a note explaining what's needed.

Work through In Progress tasks
Click a card to go to the project. Update the task status when it moves forward.

Add notes as you work
Log calls, emails, and decisions in the activity log. Date and your name are added automatically.
Every status change is logged automatically with your name and a timestamp. You don't need to document separately in Teams or email.
Updating task status
On any project detail page, each task has a status dropdown. Click it to change the status.

When you mark a mural submission as "Rejected," the next option in the decision tree (Option 2, 3, or 4) unlocks automatically. You don't need to do anything extra.
Adding notes
Notes replace the timestamped entries you were keeping in the Email Transfer spreadsheet and Teams threads. Add a note any time something happens on a project.

Open the project
Click the project name on the dashboard.

Scroll to Activity Log on the right
All previous notes are listed newest first.

Type your note and click Add note
Your name and the current date/time are added automatically.
Good notes to add: "Called Charlotte County โ reviewer is out until Monday," "Submitted revised plans via portal," "AHJ approved Option 2 mural โ permit expected in 3-5 days."

Open the project detail page

Find the permit track (Building, Mural, etc.)

Click "Add permit #" in the track header
It turns into a text field.

Type the permit number and press Enter
Saved immediately. Shows in the track header going forward.
Adding a new project

Click "+ New project" on the dashboard
Top right, next to the Board link.

Fill in the site details
Store number, address, city, state. Store number must be unique.

Select project type โ Rere or Remodel
This determines which permit templates are available.

Check which permits are needed
Building, electrical, mural โ check all that apply.

Click Create project
You land on the project detail page with the full task checklist ready.
The mural approval process
Mural permits follow a set order. You always start with Option 1 and only move to the next option if the current one is rejected.

Option 1 โ Mural on both sides
Start here. If approved โ done. If rejected โ mark as Rejected and Option 2 unlocks.

Option 2 โ Mural on one side
Only available after Option 1 is rejected. Same process.

Option 3 โ Chevron painted
Only available after Option 2 is rejected.

Option 4 โ Parallelogram painted
Last option. If this is rejected too, escalate to Checkers corporate.
Check the project's Activity Log before submitting โ previous research on what each jurisdiction accepts is stored there from past projects.

Common questions
What happened to the Email Transfer spreadsheet?
All the data from it โ addresses, portal credentials, notes, contacts โ has been imported into Fulcrum. You'll find everything on each project's detail page. You no longer need to update the spreadsheet.
Where do I find the AHJ portal login?
On the project detail page, scroll to AHJ & Contacts. The portal URL and username are there. Passwords are stored securely โ click "Reveal" to see them.
I made a mistake on a task status. How do I fix it?
Just click the status dropdown again and select the correct status. The history log records all changes but the current status is always what's shown.
How do I delete a note?
Hover over any note you wrote โ a small ร appears on the right. Click it to delete. You can only delete notes you wrote yourself.
A project is done โ what do I do?
Click Archive on the project detail page. The project disappears from the dashboard but all its data is saved. Nothing is ever deleted.
Will I still get Teams notifications?
Yes โ Fulcrum automatically sends Teams messages when tasks are blocked, permits are issued, and projects are ready for construction. You don't need to post updates manually.
Can Checkers see my internal notes?
No. Checkers corporate has a separate read-only view that shows only project status and scheduled dates. They cannot see notes, task details, contacts, or credentials.
